May the 4th Be with You: Sam’s Star Wars Movie Rankings

Hello There! We’re not on a sports break. It’s May the 4th and that means STAR WARS DAY.

  1. Empire Strikes Back — I don’t even need a defense for this choice.

2. Revenge of the Sith [HC isn’t the best actor at all, but the nostalgia of watching this in theatres cannot be beaten for me. Order 66 broke me.]

3. Rogue One [This movie is a top 20 All Time for me personally. It was the perfect blend of SW and a cinematic experience.]

4. Phantom Menace [I don’t care what the OG SW fans say. I love the characters. Darth Maul is awesome and the music is fantastic.]

5. Return of the Jedi [No one wants to admit that Boba Fett actually was trash. Dude did not deserve a hero arc. Ewoks were fun, but compared to IV it was very vanilla to me.]

6. Attack of the Clones [Again, HC’s acting was not great and the script was BAD, but the introduction of Dooku and the Clones made this movie for me as a kid. Mace Windu/Jango Fett/Yoda — what more could you want.]

7. New Hope [Not a bad movie by any means. Sets up the iconic story and is a staple, but it’s not a movie I want to watch again and again.]

8. Solo — [While I love Han Solo and Lando in this movie, it was just mid at best. Not their fault, just seemed like a phoned in loss on the balance sheet by Disney.]

9. The Force Awakens [New Hope V2] — [Directly copied New Hope but gave me hope we may see a Stormtrooper turn into a jedi and maybe even lead the Stormtrooper rebellion. The build up to this movie was iconic but they fumbled the bag. Killed off Solo and Rey literally beat a Sith that had been training for years….like what???]

10. The Last Jedi — [Throne Room fight scene was the only great part of this movie.]

11. Rise of Skywalker — No comment. Hot garbage. Rey will never be a Skywalker.
