The Tennessee Titans Will End the Season with a Record of…
- Week 1: vs NY Jets [W] 1–0
This is a must-win game for the Titans. This game is the culmination of everything the team has done in the offseason from Free Agency acquisitions to the new draft class.
The temperature of this game will dictate fans’ feelings for the remainder of the season and set the tone for the last first ride in Nissan Stadium.
I want to see the offensive line hold up, Cam make effective passes and the defensive line to stop every living thing that crosses the line
- Week 2: vs PHI Eagles [L] 1–1
Saquon Barkley is coming off a lighter season and the Philadelphia defensive squad will be ready to eat once they are in Nashville to deliver an abysmal first loss of the season. The goal in Week 2 is to stay as healthy as we can and be efficient in the pass game when we’re able.
- Week 3: @ NY Giants [W] 2–1
Harbaugh may be leading this young Giant’s team, but I don’t buy that they’ll see success unless they start to actually look like a cohesive unit by Week 3. Dart has a lot to prove this year by staying out of the blue tent. Titans shut down Skattebo at the line and get Win #2 of the season.
- Week 4: @ BAL Ravens [L] 2–2
[Hot Take] DH doesn’t break 100 yards in this game. The Flying J’s will be in full force and Lamar is going to have to win this game in the air. The trenches may be won by Tennessee, but it won’t be enough to stop a 3–4 score loss in Baltimore.
- Week 5: vs HOU Texans[W] 2–3
The Texans defense will be a significant challenge for the Titans offensive line group. I expect a back and forth game for the first half, but ultimately a loss for Tennessee.
- Week 6: @ IND Colts [W] 3–3
Daniel Jones lost Michael Pittman to the Steelers in Free Agency and the Colts grabbed Keenan Allen to fill his shoes. Jonathon Taylor won’t be enough to win at Lucas Oil for the first TN/IND matchup.
- Week 7: vs CLE Browns [W] 4–3
The assumption is that Shedeur will likely be the starting QB by Week 7. I don’t expect the Browns to be close competition with their lack of overall offense. Tennessee reels in win #4 for the season and we see a 100+ rushing performance from Tony Pollard.
- Week 8: @ CIN Bengals [L] 4–4
If Joe Burrow is healthy, the Bengals offense will likely shred the Titans defense. This game won’t be close. Keep Cam healthy and away from Hendrickson.
- Week 9: vs JAX Jaguars [W] 5–4
Jacksonville should have their new offensive identity by Week 9, but an AFC rivalry at home will be a perfect recipe for a W in Nashville after a rough loss on the road. The Titan’s will be tested on their resilience and come out on top against Sunshine and the rest of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- Week 10: @ DAL Cowboys [L] 5–5
The Cowboys have put together a solid offense and I dread having the Titans DBs try to cover both CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. The Titans will put up a fight early in this game but the overall WR talent combined with Javonte Williams’ run ability will help the Cowboys win at home.
- Week 11: vs JAX Jaguars [L] 5–6
(This will be the game that determines my final keep/cut for Cam Ward.)
Wins are great, but more than halfway through the season, I want to see accuracy and decision making improvement from last season. I don’t think the Titan’s win both outings against the Jaguars and I think we will be hit by the injury bug by Week 11.
- Week 12: vs WASH Commanders [W] 6–6
The Titans will cap off their wins for the season against Jayden Daniels and Terry McClaurin. I expect the defensive pressure to get multiple sacks and we may even see a breakout game from guys like Anthony Hill Jr. and Oladejo due to depth being needed this late in the season.
- Week 13: @ DET Lions [L] 6–7
Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon Ra St. Brown will be more than enough to give the Lions an upper hand in this tough Away game against Dan Campbell.
- Week 14: vs IND Colts [L] 6–8
As long as Daniel Jones is still the starting QB, the Colts will learn from their Week 6 mistakes and take advantage of a beat up Titans offense.
- Week 15: @ LV Raiders [L] 6–9**
If there was a game I was 50/50 on, it would have to be the Week 15 matchup in Las Vegas. If the Titans played this game earlier in the season, I would likely give them the win. Injury and depth problems will be the Titans biggest enemies in the last few games. At this point I want to see younger players continue to get reps and stay healthy.
- Week 16: vs PITT Steelers [L] 6–10
The final game in Nissan Stadium will be an absolute shredding by the Steeler’s offense. Aaron Rodgers may not be able to run out of the pocket, but he has a host of offensive weapons and a defense looking to bounce back after a slower year. The final curtain call in Nashville will unfortunatley be made of STEEL.
- Week 17: @ HOU Texans [L] 6–11
After 4 losses in a row, the team and fans both will be ready to put an end to the season in Houston.
6 wins is still doubling the past years record and I am hopeful that we won’t be looking to draft another QB. If Cam can end the season with accuracy in the high 60’s percentile and a QB rating in the mid to high 90’s, I consider that a major victory.
