The Titans’ Third-Down Problem Has Been Years in the Making
As we roll into Week 5 of the regular season, I dug into the Titans’ third-down efficiency through the first four games: 17 of 48, a 35% conversion rate.
This is nothing new.
After scrubbing stats from the 2023 season through today, I found that the Tennessee Titans rank 30th in the league in third-down efficiency, just ahead of the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns.
After working through piles of data and all the variables tied to these third-down misses, I’ve put my findings on the Benchwarmer Broadcasting website with an interactive twist.
This one’s for the data psychos out there who enjoy seeing how the sausage is made. >> https://benchwarmerbroadcasting.com/titans-third-down
More data adventures to come.
